Academic and Professional Life
Mr. Kabbani’s journey to entrepreneurship was preceded by a distinguished academic career, earning Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics and International Studies from prestigious institutions in the United States of America. He initially embarked on a career in the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources, where he served as Chief Economist in Geneva following the formation of OPEC in 1960.
Isam Khairi Kabbani Group Establishment
In 1968, Mr. Kabbani made the bold decision to venture into business, partnering with his brother Mr. Sahel AlKabbani to establish the first PVC pipe factory in Saudi Arabia. Despite initial struggles, his determination and innovative approach led to the establishment of the National Marketing Company “NAMAT,” which played a pivotal role in transforming the factory’s fortunes and paving the way for IKK Group’s expansion.
From a Factory to a Group of Companies
Over the past five decades, Mr. Kabbani’s entrepreneurial vision has propelled IKK Group from a humble factory to a diversified group comprising over 40 companies serving the construction industry and beyond. Under his leadership, the group’s reach has extended the borders of Saudi Arabia to encompass various regions worldwide.
